This is a very common and widely used type of LED display screen, referring to displays directly placed on the ground without relying on walls or hoisting structures for fixation. Its core features are high flexibility, easy mobility, and simple installation.
I. Main Structure & Key Features
1. Modular Cabinet Design
The entire screen is composed of multiple independent cabinets (modules) spliced together. This design allows the screen to be easily disassembled, transported, and quickly reassembled, adapting to different venue requirements.
2. Independent Support Structure
Each cabinet or group of cabinets is usually equipped with a sturdy metal base (e.g., aluminum alloy) to provide stable support for the screen and prevent tilting. For taller screens, adjustable support rods (also known as "gantry frames") are installed on the back, ensuring the screen does not collapse through the principle of triangular stability.
3. Quick-Connect System
Cabinets adopt quick locks or magnetic attraction designs, enabling user-friendly quick splicing and alignment.Power cables and signal lines also use fast-connection methods such as aviation connectors, significantly reducing setup time.
4. High Mobility
Thanks to the modular design, the disassembled components can be transported in specialized flight cases, making it ideal for turnover use across different venues.
II. Main Technical Models
Floor-standing LED displays adopt the same LED technology as their fixed-installation counterparts, mainly classified by pixel pitch:
P2.5, P3, P4: Commonly used in indoor settings such as hotel ballrooms, press conferences, corporate exhibition halls, and TV studios. They are designed for short viewing distances and require high clarity.
P5, P6, P8: Frequently used in outdoor or semi-outdoor environments such as outdoor advertisements, event venues, and mall atriums. They feature longer viewing distances, higher brightness, and superior waterproof/dustproof ratings (IP ratings).
Small-Pitch LEDs (P2.0 and below): In recent years, they have been increasingly used in high-end indoor floor-standing displays, such as corporate image walls, command and control centers, and premium retail stores, delivering a nearly seamless large-screen experience.
III. Main Application Scenarios
The flexibility of floor-standing LED displays makes them suitable for a wide range of applications:
1. Stages and Performances
Background Walls: Serve as dynamic backdrops for concerts, galas, and theater performances, creating an immersive visual experience.
Stage Floor Screens: Cooperate with background walls to expand the performance space and enable interaction between performers and the on-screen content.
2. Commercial Events and Exhibitions
Press Conferences & Product Launches: Act as the core visual carrier to showcase new products, brand logos, and key information.
Exhibitions and Booths: Attract foot traffic at large-scale exhibitions, dynamically displaying corporate strength and product details.
Mall Atrium Promotions: Play promotional information and advertising videos to enliven the mall atmosphere.
3. Corporate and Environmental Decoration
Corporate Exhibition Halls/Image Walls: Replace traditional vinyl banners or posters to dynamically present corporate culture, development history, and honorary qualifications.
Hotels/Restaurants/Bars: Display welcome messages, event information, or create specific ambient atmospheres.
Wedding Celebrations: Play couples’ wedding photos and videos, adding romance and a sense of technology to the occasion.
4. Radio and Television
TV Studios: Used as virtual or physical backgrounds for news broadcasts and variety shows.
